This was a draft of a painting I was going to make. Somehow I added more and more staff to it, and finally I losted the feel of it. I have to give up.

When I was a kid, I always thought that one day I would jump out of the little town I grew up, went to a big city to pursue or fight for my dreams. The dreams I had weren’t something clear, but it doesn’t matter. There was full of romantic heroism in my mind. After all these years, I can still feel the excitement when I stepped into this city for the first time. I was looking forward to it. I haven’t gone back to the little town for quite a while. I remember last time I was back with my wife, she was very excited about the culture of the town and the tasty rice noodle in fish soup there. But I felt something a little bit strange. I can’t really express the feelings. It was a kind of combination of various things. The things I was familiar with and the things were new to me. It is not quite same with the place I used to play with my mates. All the faces I knew were older. People act differently even those who used to be my closest friends. I was confused.  My heart doesn’t want to admit it, but I feel the little town in my memory is gradually fading away. I don’t know.

The day time job is boring as most of people would complaint so. Hopefully, we always find some good things everyday to keep us going and going.

For example,  I found a bit time today to test some new photoshop brush I mixed. And made a small image with it. Feel good now

Here is an old work I had done about 3 month ago.

I know I am kinda slow, this took me about 30hrs of work,
Most of the work is done in photoshop
I used a bit 3ds max on the hat and illustrator to create some textile.

Thanks for my wife, she gave me a lot of suggestions on the makeup.

I have to say this is the first time in my life, sale these artwork I made last couple of week on a art market. Made some dollars, I am glad there are people out there likes my works. Thanks for those of you bought my postcards and prints. Made some awesome friends who are so talented and so creative.That was Great fun!

This is the completion of this mini project, total took me 3 weeks (mostly nights) work on the images. They not great, but I believe it is a good beginning.

I had 3 different ideas towards the design of this one. The first idea is the paper boat flow in a small pond. I completed that illustration then found it was kind boring.  So ater all other images, i came back to this one and repaint a new piece which is what’s there now.

this is the first illustration i did of the project. There are total 5 cards. I am trying with some new concept this time and added a storyline behind all the images.

Mixed medias mainly with watercolor and pastel on 350gsm cold pressed watercolor paper. Then some photoshop. This project is for 2009 COFA spring fair. My friend invited me to join their little stall. Hope some sunshine on the weekend.

I used MSN space for a couple of years, which is now called window live space or something. Somehow most of my friends stopped using it. So I moved to facebook, no one seems write much on it, just links and videos. I kind of still enjoying writing something to keep recording my life.
